Program

Educational Activities:

  • 20 hours weekly of sports activities;
  • 16 hours weekly of recreational and cultural activities;
  • 8 hours weekly of Italian language course.

 Program: In this type of “Summer Camp,” there will be activities that are aiming at integration, fun, and the acquisition of new educational skills. This project focuses on what are defined as the “global skills” of a student.
“Outdoor Education Learning Techniques”: Activities designed for managing emotions and thoughts as a foundation for nurturing the talents each child is destined for. The project is tailored for primary school and secondary school students. The program is oriented towards learning while having fun, and simultaneously achieving excellent results. It will be a possibility dedicated to learn all the necessary tools to absorb not only memory techniques, but also various methodologies related to studying. The proposal includes a variety of educational experiences characterized by active teaching that will take place in outdoor environments, adapted to the characteristics of the territory and the social context. Teaching strategies will include “Selective Attention” (structured pathways for discovering information; note-taking; text comprehension exercises; problem-solving; highlighting) and “Interactive Attention” (group work; lab activities; free and guided discussions; simulation games; dramatization and role-playing). Based on these principles, our Campus is founded on guiding pillars such as mental clarity, empathy, acceptance, peace, sensitivity, non-judgment, patience, and imagination/wonder. Exercises in concentration, breathing, and meditation will be invaluable techniques for developing memory, comprehension, and application in academic tasks and beyond. The methods we will implement have proven results, such as improvements in grades across all tested subjects, increased confidence, enhanced communication and presentation skills, and, most importantly, a change in attitude towards school and studying. To make the stay rich in emotions, we have structured the daily program as follows:

  • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Educational activities focused on the approach to learning.
  • 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Communication techniques and new study methodologies.
  • 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Yoga and sharing of what has been learned.

Various activities are included in this project, such as:

Yoga for Kids: Yoga is a way to feel good in both body and mind through fun exercises that require concentration and deep breathing. The sessions will include practices such as: welcome circle; energy-rebalancing games; dynamic and static breathing; asanas (postures inspired by the mineral, plant, and animal worlds); relaxation. Through enjoyable and stimulating lessons, yoga supports the harmonious growth of children, helping them discover qualities such as kindness, patience, and self-esteem. In addition to physical benefits, mental functions are also enhanced, which specifically aids study performance and memory in both academic and sports activities.

Recreational Sports Activities: Being in a seaside location, we will include swimming and aquagym, and for fun, we will organize beach volleyball and beach soccer. At the Parco Sandro Pertini, we will have a sports day with various recreational and sports activities. (Sporty clothing to pack: swimsuit/shorts, flip-flops, tennis shoes, 4 pairs of shorts, 4 t-shirts, socks).

Recreational Activities: These activities can also be conducted in English, in collaboration with Group Leaders and Activity Leaders, filled with games, music, and fun, ensuring the kids have unforgettable days.

Italian Workshop: Students will approach the foreign language through interactive group activities that are playful, theatrical, and musical. During their stay, they will be “busy” preparing a theatrical performance in Italian or engaging in recreational activities in the language. In the afternoon, the “Channel Plus” program will be activated, aimed at improving learning, enhancing oral comprehension and listening, enriching vocabulary, and optimizing grammar by watching a film or stories in English divided into episodes.

“Environment and Culture” Workshop: This activity aims to engage minors in enjoying the natural environments of the territory. During the planned excursions, all naturalistic and cultural, preparatory meetings will be organized with lessons and activities on environmental, ecological, and cultural themes, also through the scheduled excursions.

In addition to the main program, we will activate workshops with free participation.

Basic Photography Approach: How many times have you used your phone as a camera to capture a beautiful moment, a work of art, or the environment around you, posting stunning photos on social media? In this Summer Camp, this is possible! The material will be published in a logbook where parents can share their children’s daily experiences.

“Invitation to Read” Workshop: Reading is an activity that enriches knowledge and emotions. In our stays, we launch this project, “Take a Book, Bring a Book,” an initiative to circulate and share books. The aim of the project is to rekindle the passion for reading and knowledge.

Evening Activities: Fun and educational activities organized by the staff, with music, games, dance and going out in the city.
